My brother brought home some dvd's by Dr. Kent Hovind. I heard his lecture when he came to Berkeley. Interesting stuff. He's a strict believer that the earth was created in 6 days (=24 hours/day), and therefore, the earth is only 6000 years old. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but he does put up a really good argument against evolution.

Check out the FAQ under the science tab. If anyone wants to watch it and has a DVD burner, let me know. Otherwise, I'll try to find other ways of getting it.

I remember listening to his lecture in Berkeley, and some skeptics would ask him questions. He would give them his explanation and list his "proof"... and while it all sounded good, I remember how Christians got all worked up about how he was able to, really, leave the guy speechless. I understand that we're happy Dr. Hovind is able to successfully argue for Creation, but as a Christian, is it really showing Christ's love when we're clapping and cheering that a guy just got proved wrong? We just get so caught up in the debate, that we forget how proud and not-humble we've become.

Anyway, good lectures nonetheless. At the very least... great stuff to think about.
