LA was great... it was a much needed get-away.
Wedding was beautiful. I always get teary-eyed when the bride and groom thank the parents. I think it's the combination of the music and seeing the bride start getting teary-eyed.
There was a general concensus among the girls. 1. The best man is good looking... and a great dancer. 2. There was a guy that was straight up heeby. It was funny because all the girls knew exactly who we were talking about.
LA is fun to visit, but I'm always glad to come back home. Life doesn't seem so rushed up here. I ate a lot of good food and that's the last of the pigging out. I promise. Sarah and I have decided to go on a diet starting this week. I'm motivated by seeing all my class girls... they looked to thin. I brought a salad for lunch today. :)
It was great seeing my old friends. I wish we could have hung out more. But I promise I'll try to make it down to LA more often. And yes, I'll come visit EVEN if there is no wedding scheduled.

I'm starting to have a love/hate relationship with my car. I bought an 05 Accord in December... it's only been a few months and I've been to the dealer 3 times already.
My windshield rattles everytime my car hits a bump. Kind of scary... makes me feel like it's going to shatter on me. The first time they put some kind of insulating foam. The noise started up again. Second time they claimed they couldn't hear the noise.
I took it in yesterday because the rattling was getting worse. And my sunroof started to rumble. Turns out my sunroof wasn't aligned properly, so they took care of that. They said as for my windshield, it wasn't my windshield but the drain pipe from the sunroof that kept hitting against the body. I thought "ok, they found the problem... no more noises."
Then on my drive home... I heard the windshield again. :( It definitely makes less noise now... but it still rattles over big enough bumps. The people at the dealership are going to know me on a first name basis.
My mom gets a kick out of the fact that at least I bring home a rose every time I visit the dealership.

If you ever want to see me at my girliest, make me watch a scary movie. I scream and jump like none other. That's why I try to avoid scary movies. Haejin will attest to my watching "The Others." I really don't like pop out scary scenes. Even scenes in Lord of the Rings (when Bilbo's face changes) made me jump out of my seat.
Psychologically disturbing movies are different. I tend to replay scenes in my head and freak myself out. Case in point: I watched "Red Dragon" on TV last night. I figured it'd be ok, since (1) I've already seen the movie before and no real damage, and (2) Edward Norton and Anthony Hopkins.
Let's just say I had a rough night last night. I started having weird dreams, which is weird enough because I NEVER remember my dreams. Then I knew I was awake, but my mind was replaying scenes from "Red Dragon" and I couldn't get it to stop. So I turned on some Christian music and fell asleep singing along. I learned my lesson.
On a more fun topic, we played ultimate frisbee after church yesterday. Weather was beautiful and everyone had a lot of fun. Our JDSN is so athletic... she kicks all the guys' butts. :) We'll definitely be playing more often.
Spring Celebration at Great America May 14. STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN!!! Now if only I can stay on track with my studying...

I love happy flowers. I went to Trader Joe's yesterday and bought a bunch of daffodils. I remember buying them at Sproul all the time... I think I'll always associate daffodils with my Berkeley days.
Every morning on my walk to the bus stop I pass by this guy who works for the service crew in the housing community I live in. He always gives me this really big smile and says hi. I can't help but crack up and say hi back. It's funny to me because based on appearance alone you would think he's this really intimidating guy. If you think of any movie that has a prison scene, you'd see this guy. Thick mustache, shaved head, big build. But then he breaks out into this reallly big smile and says "good morning."
It's amazing what a flower or a smile can do for the attitude.
