One thing I want to do sometime in my lifetime...
...attend a Yo-Yo Ma concert.
I should pick up the cello again. What a waste. :(

I had a protein shake for breakfast today. It came in the starter fitness kit when my sister signed up for 24 hour fitness. It tasted pretty good... but now my stomach is gurgling. It feels unsettled. :( Throwing the rest of them shakes out.
Can't wait for baseball to start. Go Giants! Who wants to go watch games with me? I promise I won't annoy you with 25 million questions during the game. That's for basketball and football. Maybe 100 questions... MAX.

My dad and I were watching this Korean miniseries yesterday. He's convinced this one guy in the series is the same guy that played the king in another miniseries. I told him they're not the same person. As stubborn as he is, this time I KNOW I'm right. So we bet on it. For a flick on the forehead. (tteng kong mat ki).
I think the guy in this series is attractive, but not in your conventional way. I wouldn't confuse his face with another guy. I'll keep you updated on who gets the flick on the forehead.

We played a game in small group yesterday. Each person had to write down 5 descriptive words about themselves. We then put it in a bag and everyone drew a name. We had to guess how that person viewed themselves.
Brian drew my name. The way he thinks I view myself:
1. tough - puts my foot down
2. family-oriented
3. lazy
4. boring
5. (i forget... i think I was shocked by the boring comment)
What I had written down:
1. introvert
2. weird
3. non-confrontational
4. not your average girly girl
5. fun-loving
I think his only assessment that bothered me was the "boring" one. He meant it in the sense that I don't go out and just sit at home. I understand that I've spent more time at home lately, but it's because I've been studying! So I told him, "just because I don't call you when I go out does NOT mean I sit at home all day."
A few people chimed in and said, "Chris, that's not being non-confrontational." :)Ryan and Mike insisted the non-confrontational part of me was not true. They've seen my not so nice side on the steps at North Beach before... You can ask them for the story.

My dad hasn't been able to shake off his cold for the past few weeks. Doesn't help that he has other health problems to worry about. So my mom is always trying out different concoctions she hears about through the Korean ajoomah circle.
My mom has been brewing this weird tea lately. It really looks like a mix of twigs and branches and dirt you'd pick up at a camp site. But I guess the tea needs to simmer for a long time, so she'll turn it on low and leave it brewing overnight. (I know, VERY dangerous)
Well, I come home last night to an empty house and I can smell something faintly burning. I open the kitchen door and it's smoky in there. My mom forgot to turn off the tea and the mix of twigs looked like what's left after you extinguish a campfire. My mom swears she turned the stove off after she poured my dad a cup that morning.
I promptly went out that night and bought her a crock pot. It came with a recipe book for all sorts of things. Lilliene says you can make Kal-bi jjim in that thing. So I started getting excited. But I heard my mom say something to the extent the crock pot will be useful to have tea 24/7. Guess no pot roast for me...

Have you ever jerked in your sleep because you dreamt you were falling?
After snowboarding last weekend, Sarah and I were in bed talking and giggling up a storm before falling asleep. But throughout our conversation there'd be moments of silence. So I'd close my eyes, but as soon as I did, I would vividly imagine myself on the snowboard practicing my carving. It was so realistic I even imagined myself losing my balance and about to fall. No actual jerking though. I was a little embarassed to tell Sarah, but then I remembered, she knows I'm a dork, and she knows everything embarassing about me. Good thing, because she said she was doing the same thing and she was embarassed to tell me too. hahaha.
I mention this because lately, instead of snowboarding, I vividly hear Shane & Shane singing in my head. I've been listening to that CD a lot lately... so I'll pick up specific strums and drum beats in my head... even their harmonizing.
:)
Going back up to Tahoe this Saturday. Yayayayayayay!

I talked to my uncle (my mom's youngest brother) on the phone two nights ago. It was "Sul Nal" (New Years) in Korea so I guess the whole family got together. My mom told me to talk to all my aunts and uncles before I hang up. The conversation was a little bit confusing because he thought I was my sister for most of the conversation. Then I thought he was going to give my aunt the phone, but he just straight up hung up on me. Yeah, happy "Sul Nal" everyone...

Snowboarding was super fun. Just thought I'd dedicate this entry to the fellas that went on the trip to say thanks for driving, cooking, cleaning, letting the girls shower first, staying with us for a good part of the day, and not getting frustrated with us. I'd be more than willing to give up the beds next time. :)

I need one of those Nalgene sippers. It's basically a top for your Nalgene... kind of looks like a coffee sip thing that fits in the mouth of your Nalgene bottle. I was taking a sip of water and a good amount dribbled down the side of my mouth into my shirt. Good thing it's almost the end of the day and it's nice outside.
As wise Sarah would say, "Jar Han dah~"
